Monday, September 19, 2005: Anticipation of the Birthday

Dcfc0001_2Pretty quiet day today.  Carrie came over in the evening, and we got a jumpstart on the birthday celebration.  She brought the presents from her mom to open.  She's a damn good guesser, picking a new pair of dress shoes and vitamins (as requested).  I also had a present for her, a book called Interior Desecrations by James Lileks, who I find charmingly old-fashioned.  That's an addition to the Ernest Borel Cocktail watch I gave her yesterday (it was a black one, not white...).
Dcfc0001_1_1We stayed in for awhile and worked.  Carrie on a project she's doing with her friend Jason of the Olympia Theater Project, and me on that dang review for Film Comment still.  As well as the X-Film program for the Olympia Film Festival.  Which will be taking place Sunday, November 6 until Thursday, November 10.  Or at least the X-Film part of it, the first program of which will take place at the historic Capitol Theater in downtown Olympia, the rest moving over the aforementioned The Mark.  Anyway, didn't finish either.  And that's it for Monday...
